Dear CMI Colleagues,
The next CMI is coming up on Saturday, 3 November, time 9 am to 1 pm again at ICA's office at # 12, 3F, Lane 5, Tien Mou W Rd, phone 2871-3150.
I will be working from a new book (to me) "Unattended Sorrow." The author, Stephen Levine is particularly sensitive to the cumulative impact of sorrow not dealt with (griefwork not done). He has 30 years of experience counseling with people who have been through severe trauma, helping them to release that in order to live more relaxed, confident and loving lives.
My thoughts so far is that I would have us work in small groups discovering the unattended sorrow (to include anger, fear, resentment, etc) which seem to gather and accumulate primarily in one's belly, share as each person likes and is willing the effects, problems and struggles which has resulted in ourselves and others with whom we have coached or mentored.
We will begin (at least) to try out Mr. Levine's approach to clearing this sorrow and other blocking emotions, for ourselves, each other and discovering how to help make it happen for our coaching clients. I have found some in Mr. Levine's book that is known to me and some that is very new.
All are welcome, no matter whether they have ever been in CMI before. This is an ongoing community of practice. If you have questions, please email or call me.And of course, I urge you to check the book out on Amazon or other online source.
Best regards,
Dick West
